Christ’s Closet

Christ’s Closet is a ministry that God breathed into existence many years ago.  A ministry spoken into the heart of someone who would help others all around the world.

    • Emergency Services available upon request for house burns, foster parents, domestic violence cases, etc.

    • Partnered with West Georgia Tech WIA Program to help people with schooling and jobs

    • Give a financial donation to help with rent, power bill, water bill and supplies. mail monetary donations to The Refuge Ministries of West Ga., Inc. P.O. Box 466, Tallapoosa, GA 30176 and earmark your check “Christ’s Closet”.

    • Give white garbage bags. Christ’s Closet uses thousands each year.

    • Donate toiletries to our “burn unit” such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, combs and brushes.

  • Christ’s Closet has….

    • Served over 2500 families –many more than once

    • Serves about 15 families who lose their home each year

    • Serves foster parents

    • Serves Carroll County Women’s Shelter by delivering loads to them each month

    • Serves women who have to leave abusive relationships and are in hiding

    • Serves local schools with items children need while in schools’ care

    • Provides prom dresses

    • Helped Cleburne County Baptist Association start their own clothing ministry

    • Helps Mt Moriah in Delta, Alabama start their own clothing ministry

    • Provided 35 foot boxed trailer load to Tuscaloosa, Alabama after the tornadoes

    • Provided clothing in Carrollton, Georgia after the flood

    • Provided more than 100 bags of clothing to the girls home in Eufa, Alabama

    • Provided 35 foot boxed trailer load to children’s home in Oneida, Kentucky

    • Provided coats, gloves and toboggans to a Head Start Program in Carrollton, GA

    • Provided more than 100 coats to children in Mexico

    • Provided barrels of clothes sent to Haiti

    • Provided dress clothes and shoes to the Carroll County Public Defender’s Office for people required to attend court

    • Provided clothes and blankets to Feed The Sheep Ministries for their outreaches in Bremen and outreaches in Atlanta for the homeless

    • Provided Kansas Baptist Church in Waco clothes for their annual outreach

    • Provided Waco First Baptist clothing & flip flops for their mission trip to Honduras

    • Provided coats for outreaches for homeless in Douglasville & Atlanta

    • Provided coats and blankets for the homeless in Carrollton

    We have gone out into our communities and set up outreaches at Beaver Run in Waco, Helton Howland Park in Tallapoosa and Tallapoosa Christian Academy. We have set up at the Community Resource Fair at Tallapoosa Primary and at the Tallapoosa Housing Authority’s annual picnic and did face paintings.

We have helped families from the following areas:

GEORGIA: Tallapoosa, Cedartown, Waco, Bremen, Carrollton, Buchanan, Bowdon, Douglasville, Temple, Villa Rica, Felton, Rockmart, McDonough, LaGrange, Kennesaw, Hawkinsville, Franklin, Whitesburg, Dallas, Mt Zion, Smyrna, Hogansville, Roopville, Kingsland & Cartersville.

ALABAMA: Muscadine, Heflin, Fruithurst, Woodland, Ranburne, Edwardsville, Graham, Eufala andTuscaloosa.

NORTH CAROLINA:  Rougemont.

KENTUCKY:  Oneida.

OTHER: Honduras, Haiti & Mexico.
